While I by no means dispute that you’ve been mistreated by others on account of your lineage, I disagree that white supremacy is as widespread as your comment makes it sound. I also disagree that it’s too big a request that non-white people don’t dehumanize me.

For one thing, I actually have not dehumanized non-white people even if other whites have. For another, it’s no good to just accept being mistreated and mischaracterized simply because I may have had it better than others. For still another, sinking to somebody else’s level - in this case, that of racist white people - is never the answer. But you appear to be saying that it is, in fact, excusable for non-white people to do so.

I will continue to treat non-white people as people, and I will also continue to expect them to treat me the same, as I would expect from anybody. That may not seem reasonable to you, and I’m sorry if it doesn’t, but I believe that we all have a responsibility to break the cycle of bitterness.
