Well-written, Orrin. I agree that "wokeness" is only dividing us further. I try to remind myself that the sort of racially-based virtriol seen on Medium does not reflect our society in general. While that may be true, however, organizations everywhere have unfortunately embraced this wrongful "wokeness" in one form or another. For the record, I think it's also unfortunate that the word "woke" has been shifted away from its original philanthropic intent and become associated with overbearing, browbeating social activism. A better term for that, I would say, is "illiberal" or "regressive."
