Thank you for your feedback, Drmcintyre. I agree that yes, it is racism to ascribe certain behaviors to “whiteness.”

Interestingly, there’s been data published by World Values Survey that has tracked expressions of racist sentiment around the world - specifically, whether or not the respondents would want a person of another race as their neighbor. The US turns up as one of the least racist countries in this regard. My understanding is that it’s not exactly scientific data, and that it’s been tracked over a number of years. Still, I think it provides good insight into the degree of racist sentiment that actually exists in the US.
