Let this comment not be read as me trying to disparage or disrespect the writer.
This article is deeply problematic. Its bitter, spiteful tone towards black people whom the writer finds disagreeable is bad enough. The contradiction between his/her wish to see black people be better respected and his/her willingness to berate and belittle those he/she sees as traitors to their race is worse. The word “coon” is used repeatedly despite that the writer speaks about a list of slurs against black people that he/she would probably resent otherwise, like the N-word or “blackie.”
Do black people sometimes make generalized misjudgments about other black people? Could that be motivated sometimes by a desire for gain? Of course. But obviously those things are not always true just because a black person doesn’t fall in line with the so-called “woke” narrative on race. Perhaps they genuinely believe that their fellow black neighbors often have problems that hold them back in life, and want to help them overcome those problems. To write off all such people with a slur that carries profoundly negative connotations - and has, in fact, been used by white people to refer pejoratively to black people in general - does not display rational thinking.
