I’m not totally sure if you’re saying that literally or if you’re trying to demonstrating a point, but slavery definitely did not come from the Bible even if it was used to justify slavery. Please understand that I’m not disagreeing with you about the bad consequences of erasing history. I’m only saying that we can preserve history without inadvertently glorifying it. If a statue of Robert E. Lee in military uniform is kept in a park, that’s glorifying the history of his role in the attempt to uphold slavery and break up the Union. If said statue is moved to a museum, that’s preserving that history.
