I’m not surprised by this. Considering modern humans did originate in Africa, it’s quite likely that Adam and Eve, or “Lucy”depending on your beliefs, were either black or some skin color darker than white. If I called myself “black,” however, a whole wave of social activists would no doubt get on my case for appropriating blackness. In the end, humans are humans, we depend on humanity for our survival and racism only impedes it.
