I do find it surprising that the charges for illegal possession were dismissed, but if that that was deemed legal by the judge, then the other charges don't seem to have much to stand on given the situation that occurred between Rittenhouse and the guys who chased him. And yes, even if the ruling was the correct one I'm pessimistic about the trajectory of things between the political left and right in this country.
